Netherlands!

So I have successfully made my way through Amsterdam. No...I did not smoke weed or have any weed products. No...I did not get any prostitutes. Yes...I did get completely lost in suburban Amsterdam and yes...I did have a little too much partying that resulted in a very long night. Overall, it was pretty amazing though. Biking around town is the best way to do it.

I have come to realization in the past week on this trip that it is not the sites you see or how many pictures you take, but the people you meet. We were able to spend a night in Tilburg, Netherlands, a place we probably wouldn't have seen normally, because of the great people we have met. Now, we are in Den Haage, Netherlands staying with another friend that let us stay for a few nights. These people and situations are things that I will remember more than a picture in front of a sign that says Amsterdam.

Going to a Dutch beach tomorrow and watching the Netherlands soccer match on Saturday before heading to Paris later that day...

Picnic in the Park

Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and relax. Seeing site after site is cool, but to really see a city you need to see the people. I had a blast walking all over London, but sitting in the park doing absolutely nothing was pretty great. But then again, maybe it was just nice to sit down because another night out until 2:30 had done some damage....

Amsterdam tomorrow I believe, we will see how that goes!

The Beginning

The intention of this blog is document my trip through Europe, allowing me to recall ridiculous events and amazing times. I'm not really sure how to start this thing off, but I will start in New York...

After a long night out on the town including an Aussie bar, wine bar, and delicious pizza it was time to fly to London. Two hours on the runway + 7 hour flight was not the best, but everything since then has been amazing. Following naptime, we went to the hostel bar for my standard karaoke night. We met some awesome kids, including an amazing Australian dancer and the lead singer of a Mexican boy band that punched a kid in the face for trying to take his microphone. I would be on here forever if I wrote out everything, but here is a brief list:

All of the London sites (buckingham palace, big ben, etc.)
World Cup South Africa game in famous square on huge screen
pub crawl
queen's birthday

this seems like a pretty lame list, but trust me, a lot happened. If you wanna know more just let me know and I will tell you everything!
